Updates Galore

Sorry it's been a while... if anyone is even reading this. That's really why I stopped blogging. It's depressing having a single follower, lol.


Anyway, lots has been going on for me over at fanfiction.net. Dark Nation Goes To the Vet is now complete, I've posted a number of episodes for Life's Little Challenges, Transformations is up to Chapter 22... And I began a new fic called Closing the Distance. It's the back story for Tseng and Elena's relationship as seen in On My Honor, and I'm having a great time working on it. It needs more love, so please check it out!

Transformations Chapter 13 has been posted. Also, I am working on a very special one-shot, which is a gift fic for my lovely beta. It is finished and going through the edit stage right now, so look for that one soon! The title is The Last Act, and it is a Vincent fic.

Still Busy Writing!

Hey, all! Maybe more people are coming here now since links work in our ffnet profiles now! Ooor maybe not. Anyway.

As you may have noticed, Transformations got updated a lot this last week. We're on Chapter Ten now with Chapter Eleven likely to be added today some time. Also approaching that 100th review and the promised request fic I will write for whoever submits it. Yay.

Dark Nation Goes To the Vet got updated yesterday, also! Lots more fun for Reno and our favorite Guard Hounds. ;)

Yep, more Updates

Life's Little Challenges has been updated, with a random word challenge for the word "pencil." I didn't have much to work with here, but I got an idea pretty fast and I think it turned out decently considering the dry subject matter.

The main update for today is for Dark Nation Goes To the Vet! Finally got a chapter done for that one, I know I've been neglecting it since I've been so into Transformations this past week. Reno and Dark Nation face off against the cop who pulled them over. Can they still make it to the vet in time?

The next chapter of Transformations (actually, the next two) are already finished within my brain, so now all I need to do it write them. For those of you here, I will give you a little preview. Vincent is off to meet with Cloud about some security stuff, but he's already in a foul mood and feeling Chaos-y. So when he brings up Sephiroth and Cloud's treatment of him... well... it won't be pretty. And after THAT little mess, he'll drag himself home to face the music. He's been missing for the entire night and most of the day now, and Lucrecia is NOT happy. These two have never really fought before, but that is about to change. Take two people with strong feelings for each other, but bad communication skills, and add in a lot of insecurity and frustration for a good time! Not.


I do think I am going to do that crossover with Diablo 3 one of these days. I have an idea for the start of it, as well as a lot of good humor and ways to blend the two worlds I love together. I am just not sure I want to start another multi-chapter fic just yet. I want to wrap up the Dark Nation fic first, I think. But we'll see.


I have not abandoned Tasks for the Turks. I have an idea for the next task, I've just not been particularly motivated for that fic at the moment. My other two multis are a lot more popular as well, so I've been throwing my muse into those while it is back!

Aquarium and MORE updates!

Transformations has now been updated... yes again... with Chapter 8! My muse is so manic depressive, and definitely in the manic phase at the moment.

I am off for a day at the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ. I am going to think on my current random word challenge while looking at da fishes!

In other news, I have completed Chapter Seven of Transformations. Yes, already! Go me. I am waiting on my lovely beta to read it over, and then it will be posted. Definitely some time this evening! I am making up for that two and a half months of quiet, haha. It also helps that I have been feeling mostly well. Thank you all so much for the wonderful reviews I received for Chapter Six. Please continue to share your thoughts, as it motivates me and makes my story look awesome and worth checking out to others... haha.

Update and new Wiki!

Transformations did indeed get an update this week, so check it out! I even started the next chapter already. Vincent and Lucrecia may not be willing to talk about their issues, but Sephiroth and Aeris are sure going to! More of Blade the dog as well, hehe. ;)

Working on an Update!

Well, a day out at the NJ beach seems to have gotten me a bit inspired, along with some wonderful reviews and a lot of follows and favorites on ffnet recently. I am actually working on  the next chapter of Transformations at the moment! It is slow going, as I am a bit rusty and trying to get my mojo back, but it's going at least. :) If I manage to update this fic, Reno and Dark Nation will be next!

I also had a crazy idea for a crossover. Yes, me, a crossver! I have never liked them, let alone wanted to write one, but... I can't help it this time, this idea will not go away, lol. Ready? Final Fantasy VII x Diablo 3! :D I got an idea for how it could be done, and now it is calling my name. Sooo... one of these days, this is gonna happen. Don't know how much interest there will be (It will be largely FFVII with things from the Diablo world added in really), but I think I will be a lot of fun. It will probably feature Vincent, Sephiroth, Cid and Reno unless I change what I have in my head (doubtful once I have an idea). So stay tuned :)

Quiet on the Eastern Front

So sorry I have been quiet here and not updating much. I am still struggling with migraines, and lack of inspiration. I did update Dark Nation Goes To the Vet recently, though, as well as Life's Little Challenges. So there is that. :) My muse has flown the coop as far as Transformations goes, but I am not abandoning it and will hopefully get my butt back in gear soon. So don't give up on me, please, hehe. My health limits so many things in my life, my writing included. All I can do is the best I can manage.

Thank you in the mean time for all the fabulous reviews and PMs! I finally got up to replying to most of them, and I appreciate every single one more than you can know. Also, thanks to those who have added me as a friend in Diablo 3! For anyone else, I am JenesisX#1916. Hope you all are well!

Writer's Block

Well... Sorry, everyone, for my currently infrequent updates. I am having a terrible issue with chronic migraines no one can seem to stop or explain. That, and my muse packed up and left town about a month ago, so I have had no inspiration and motivation even when I feel okay.

Also, Diablo 3 is a good bit to blame, haha. Anyone playing? My battletag is JenesisX#1916, hit me up! I have a level 60 Monk and a 51 Barbarian at the moment. I am entirely addicted, though even that can't get me out of bed when I am feeling so sick. Sigh.

I did add something to Life's Little Challenges this Sunday, and I am hoping I will be able to update my other work before too much longer. Thanks for your patience and support!

MORE Apologies...lol

Well, I am finally feeling mostly better. But I have absolutely no motivation to write. Sigh. I'm not sure what to do to get myself going again. I have GOT to write something in the next few days, because when Diablo 3 comes on Tuesday I will likely be writing a lot less, at least for a while. Sorry ;)

Apologies

For anyone checking in and wondering why I have not  been updating, I just wanted to take a moment to apologize. I have been feeling very unwell with severe migraine issues, and just cannot find the energy to sit at my computer for long. Plus I just cannot concentrate around the pain and nausea. I am hoping this will pass before too much longer so I can get back to things, because I am bored and quite frustrated by now. But yeah, I am not dead and still have plenty of ideas going on... and a couple updates in the works... I just need to have at least one decent day to get anything done! Sorry :(

Headaches, and Dark Nation

Hey all. Still not feeling so hot, so haven't been doing very much unfortunately. This migraine has been relentless, no clue why. Sigh. I did, however, begin a rather humorous fic involving Reno and Rufus' guard hound, Dark Nation. A real life trip to the vet inspired this story, lol... It'll have perhaps 3 or 4 chapters, not really sure. It was sort of a spur of the moment idea. But as a professional dog groomer, I am an expert on everything a dog can do to make your life hell when they are stressed or upset. Reno is in for it! :D

Transformations Update!

Since a friend updates DA for me, it usually takes a while before things get added there, but over this past weekend she did put up a number of my recent fics for those following me there.

Anyway, this chapter was partially inspired by my friends in the Underground Fanfictioners group on Facebook. We were discussing roaches and other bugs, and since I was already planning to have Seph and Vincent taking a time out, well... it evolved into what you see in the chapter, haha. Anyway, I love my UF friends! Thanks for the inspiration and the laughs, guys :)

How's That?

So three days, three updates... one for each active multi-chapter I've got up, hehe. Today, the challenge word was "Torment," and Reno demonstrates its definition being an annoying jerk to Elena back during their Turk days. I knew immediately when I saw the word that it HAD to involve Reno, lol...


Anyway, I am still not feeling well... just CANNOT shake this damn migraine. But at least I feel accomplished and will hopefully have some incoming reviews to cheer me. Thanks! :)

Updates, Finally!

Transformations got updated with Chapter Four yesterday! And this morning, Tasks for the Turks has gotten an update as well. This is what happens when I am up at 3:30 a.m. and cannot go back to sleep, lol. I am anxious to hear what you all think of both of those and will be sure to reply to any and all reviews I receive. I am feeling a bit better, but of course tired now, haha.

Tomorrow is 'challenge day' over at my amazing Facebook Fanfictioners' group (hey, UF gang!), so Life's Little Challenges should have a new addition some time by the end of Sunday.

I have a new multi-chapter idea in my head, involving events for the Turks that lead up to On My Honor. I will likely *have* to write it at some point, since once something is in my head I have little choice, but I am curious. Who is interested? I was a bit disappointed in the lack of attention OMH received, and I am unsure of whether it was due to the characters, the storyline, or my writing... or just the fact that I had only just come back and many people did not realize it yet. I consider that fic some of my best work and it is dear to my heart... I just wish more people had read and reviewed. Ah well, can't win 'em all I suppose. I still love the story and the chance I got to flesh out some of the less popular characters. Plus the world needs more Tseng/Elena stories.

Oh Hey :)

Hey hey. Sorry I've been absent so far this week, I've had a migraine the last few days, and they tend to knock me on my butt and can last for almost a week sometimes. Plus my brother just had his 30th birthday, and we celebrated a LITTLE too hard, haha. We watched Advent Children, though, which was my first time seeing it. Fun! Anyway... Because of all of that, writing has been slow. I did update Life's Little Challenges Sunday, with something rather comical and a bit 'dirty,' haha. I am working on Tasks for the Turks, I may get it done by tomorrow... We shall see how I feel.

Weekend Updates, Etc

I am almost done with Chapter 3 for Transformations. I've not been feeling at my best the last few days, and it delayed me a little. I apologize for that! But I am almost done the writing, then it will just need a little editting and a check-over by my lovely beta.

I now have TWO betas. Well, one of them is a fish. ;) His name is Reno. Yeah, I'm a little obsessed. He has a light blue body and black head, but his fins are red with a blue outline. He's the prettiest beta I've ever owned. He's sexy and he knows it.

Anyway, I plan to have this chapter up tonight some time. I've not yet started the next part for Tasks for the Turks, but I know what I'm going to do with it. Like I said, my health does get in the way of my writing far too often (I have Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrom, and chronic migraines). Tomorrow is also Challenge day for my fabulous Facebook fanfiction group, so Life's Little Challenges should see an additon then.

I'm finally getting around to re-editing the three prequel stories I wrote ages ago: The Fall of an Angel, A Mother's Touch and Through the Window. Transformations continues!

So Transformations is my newest multi-chapter, the one I am currently most inspired to work on. The story is about Vincent and his struggles with Chaos, and how his current situation is making this more difficult. You know, his long lost love returns from the dead a couple months ago and he has to go from loner to lover, his son Sephiroth is still awkward with him and remains troubled, he's become responsible for keeping watch on the fugitive Turks, he just learned that Hojo is dead by another's hand... Just a FEW little issues. Ha. He's been trying to hide his transformations from Lucrecia, though she does know about Chaos, but it's finally too much for him. Now he's acting strangely and she isn't quite sure why. Lots of drama, angst, some romance, and a bit of an update as to what some of our heroes are up to in Junon Harbor.

The prologue and Chapter One are already up on ffnet, and I have most of Chapter Two written. I just need to finish the ending scene, and go back to edit. And of course send it off to my fabulous beta reader. I think it will be published either this evening or early tomorrow. I recommend adding the story to your alerts if you're interested, as I am attempting to write shorter chapters so I can update more frequently. So far it's been every few days, and I am planning to stick to at least weekly. I'm really surprised by the positive reaction to the story thus far, I wasn't expecting it to be as popular and well-received as it quickly became. I am extremely honored and very excited! The more people like it and share their opinions, the more motivated and inspired I seem to become :)

Sunday Challenges

Well, it's Sunday, the day an awesome group of fanfiction writers I belong to on Facebook does our weekly One-hour Random Word Challenge. Our leader uses a website to generate a completely random word, and we get an hour to write a story based on it. Last week it was 'overwhelmed,' and today it was 'picnicking.' I managed to get out a 2k word story about Sephiroth, Aeris, and Seph's new dog having a little picnic on the shores of Junon Harbor. It took me about 5 minutes to think up the scenario, and another 55 to write it. Please check it out and let me know what you think!

Well hello there. I'm JenesisX, an avid writer of Final Fantasy VII fanfiction. Since I no longer have my own website and have begun writing again after almost 8 years, I decided it might be fun to have a blog. I am currently updating at least weekly. I have re-edited all of my older stories, including Irony of Fate, and finally finished its sequel, Battlegrounds.
